E & O insurance
I need to get an E & O policy.
Anybody have suggestions about where and how much 25k, 50k or 100k might cost?
Searches on the boards have been inconclusive, although I've seen the matter discussed there..but not recently.
The internet provides some info.
But, before I jump into the water, I'd really like somebody's "take" on the matter.
TIA

all i have to say on this matter is, i looked around then called the company I purchased my notary on, and they had the best price and did not take long, it does that 4-6 weeks to write the policy but it did come after that. I had a friend that purchased online and it took her over 4 months of calling and calling and demanding her money back to get it, so it's your choice, beware

4-6 Weeks? I got mine within 5 days......
I took out a 10,000.00 E & O policy written by the Western Surety Company. I purchased it through the NNA (sadly enough), but the actual insurance company for my area is Western Surety.
Why did yours take so long? I thought mine would have taken forever, but it didn't. Within 5 days, (maybe 7) I got it through the mail.
I hope mine is legit, I have a policy number and everything.

I purchased mine through NationalNotary.org. I found their prices to be very reasonable. I do not believe they open on Saturdays, but check them out on the web.

Hi there. I too got my policy from the National Notary Association. You can order on line or call them. They were friendly, courteous and answered any questions. As for the price, very reasonable. The policy prices vary depending on how much coverage you want. Check out the website for more detailed information (ie...how much, term of coverage, and how it protects you).
I hope this helps.
