Fed-Ex - Something to think about ........
The next time you go to Fed-Ex or Kinko's - Fed Ex you should check out Fed-Ex ground service. Not only is there service to the continental unites states but also to Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Ground service to Hawaii (from Michigan) takes seven days, whereas service to Puerto Rico only takes four days!!
Hmmmmm ........... maybe the vehicles going to Puerto Rico have bigger water wings. Who knows?

Stuff going to PR goes by train. That's why it gets there faster.

no, it means that they want to keep their plans full. They have always offered ground from HI to the mainland. Parcel Post literally goes on a boat
