Florida q in NY?

If a witness is required for a Florida deed, but the person is signing in NY, do they still need the witness?

Thanks!

If it is a mortgage, then witnesses are not required.
But if it is a deed, (Quit Claim, Warranty, etc) then two witnesses are required wherever the deed is signed, it is not a notary law, it is a recording requirement.
The notary can be one of the witnesses, and all witnesses names must be printed beneath their signatures otherwise the recorder will kick it back.
