GoldenSage

I got an email from Goldensage today saying that their notaries must register with dynamicdox.com. This is for countrywide helocs etc. They pay a maximum of $15 for edoc's!..thinking hard here....

Re: GoldenSage e-docs

I think some of these companies look at e-docs this way.
If we make the printing of e-docs easy, and dynamicdox is as clean and easy as any, we can cut the e-doc fees. It will only take 10 minutes to print and the SA is getting paid $xx for 10 minutes work.

What they don't look at is the time and driving involved. Send me an overnight package and I know when it will arrive at the house. I can schedule when I will be able to leave to do the days closings (say at 4, 6 and 8). i.e. Leave house at 3:00, drive 30 miles to first, 20 miles further to 2nd, do third on way back ( 25 miles from house). Total travel 100 miles. Say the 2nd is the e-docs. 60 miles to first (r/t), print e-docs, then 100 miles r/t to 2nd catching the 3rd on way back. Total miles 160. The e-docs vs overnite resulted in an an addition $24 in car expenses (using .40/mile.)
If there was a guarantee that the docs would be ready by 2:00 in this case, e-docs could be a money maker - though minor. If you use .05 a page net cost, you could be looking at $5-7 actual cost PLUS YOUR TIME.

Re: GoldenSage e-docs

Right, not to mention the cost of ink and paper. That must be a factor as well.
