HOORAY!
I just wanted to thank all that helped me get through my first signing last month... i know i knew all the docs... and the proper things to do but i was totally doubting myself and asking redundant questions just to make sure what i thought was true was. I did my first signing April 15th and it was just great i took a deep breathe and took the plunge, no worries! Since then i have done 5 more signings and i hope to receive many many more! But again thanks sooooo much to all who took the time to sincerely assist me in my questions! Have a great Day!

Hey Tee. Congratulations! I am also new to the business, but haven't done any signings yet. I live in the Ft Lauderdale area. I am trying to get experiencebut haven't received any calls for the services that I have signed up with. I would like to shadow someone. If there are any ideas you can share, I would really appreciate it.

Hey, Just like all the seasoned agents on here say: sign up with as many ss as you can , also word of mouth helps to maybe some business cards, Flyers? Best of Luck

I am happy for you tee. I am new at the business also. I have my first assignment on tomorrow. I feel about the same way you felt and it helps me a little to know that I am not the only one that has these fears. Even though I completed the test, fell that I know the docs. It is still a little scary. Wish me luck. Congrads on your accomplishments.

Hey , Best of Luck You WILL BE FINE! Just take a deep breath and stay calm and go over your docs. Let us know how it went, it is not so scary once you have done it. Now i kind of feel a little silly how nervous i was. I still get butterflies when i go to my appts but nothing like the first time. Thanks

Congrats! I just did my first signing on April 26th, so I am new as well. I've also gotten some nice, helpful responses on this board. Although one of my questions was answered with the answer "very standard notarization, IMO". Which, to a seasoned notary it may be, but to someone new, its not. I'm wondering how those of us who are new, are to ever get experience and learn these things without jumping in with both feet? I'm nervous like you wouldn't believe, but how do I get experience without it being hands-on?

Re: "very standard notarization, IMO".
The best way to avoid that response is to try to find the answer in your state's handbook and do a search on NotRot. Then write in your message that you tried both methods before asking. Also always use your name (or pseudonym) and include your state as you did above. Good Luck!
