HP 3015 owners please respond

I have been researching this all- in- one laser printer and have noticed there are a handful
of you SA's that have this model.

My question is: Does this model have PCL 6?

I have searched and I can't find this info anywhere.

TIA

Yes, it has PCL6. That's why I purchased it.
PCL6 is a software language that this printer has.

My son who is a new notary in Calif. recentyly bought the 3015 at Staples for $269 with an additional $50 rebate. This is a terrific "all in one :" machine at a great price!!

HP site has ALL their specs

For the LJ 3015 -> http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06a/18972-238444-410636-12004-f51-378048.html

You can always simply go to http://www.hp.com then click on the "Printer &Multifunction" link. Enter the printer information in the search bar (e.g. Laserjet 3015) and follow all the links, including the product overview, to find all the details you need about any of their currently supported printers.

stamper_WI asks:

***Whats PCL6?***

Pacific Coast Laziness, Level 6. Common affliction of California signing agents who have read one too many posts about $8,000 a month income of Illinois-Florida-West Virginia-North Dakota-Saskatchewan-Patagonia signing agents, and who have just given up trying to achieve that exalted level in a climate where there are more signing agents than white people. Marked by excessive consumption of Big Red soda pop and Cheetos; readily identifable symptoms of the malady are excessively red lips and orange-colored fingers that taste salty. Could be easily cured by depopulating the island of New Zealand and shipping every second California signing agent there with a one-way ticket. For the rest of the signing agents outside Los Angeles, however, some contemplation has been given to taking over Australia and Africa south of the Equator.

Not that I'd ever disagree with HisHughness, but ...

... I'd always heard that PCL stood for Printer Control Language. 6 means version 6. If you search for PCL on this Forum, you'll find a lot of very useful information. Look especially for posts from PAW_FL.

Re: ok ..I'll bite...

PCL (Page Control Language or Printer Command Language) is the "language" the computer (through a driver) uses to communicate with a printer. It was developed by Hewlett-Packard. The latest version is PCL Level 6, commonly referred to as PCL 6.

For a complete description, view msg # 32419 and also do a search for "PCL 6" (note the space). You will soon learn what PCL is, and why it is imperative that your printer properly support its use.
