I FINALLY DID ONE
After 2 months of signing up with ss's I finally had a signing. It was a refi, package was 149 pages long, with over 100 signatures required. I spent so long preparing, and it took over 2 hours to get it signed. But I am feeling real good about it. I had to do some loose jurats which was ok. Only thing I'm questioning is a couple of docs that at the top had the doc title, then under that State of___ County ___then (borrower) under oath blah blah blah. Then the body of the document. Then bellow that subscribed and swore. So I crossed out the notarial wording on the bottom, and attached the loose jurat. Should I cross out the State of___ County of part at the top of the doc?

No, just make sure the venue at the top of the doc is correct though.

Thank you Sylvia. The venue was there; although it said the State and not the county. However I did properlly fill out the loose jurat to include the state and county.

Congratulations!
Good job. May you have many more.
Please choose an Author name which includes the two-letter abbreviation for your state. Anonymous postings get fewer meaninful replies than those with your name (or nom de forum) and state. As a general rule, the only reason to post anonymously is you think you did something wrong and want to protect your identity.
Best of luck!

Re: Congratulations!
Oh I have a user name. I just didn't want any ss's know that I have only done my first refi and have that deter them from calling. Of course if I am asked specificaly when they call I would most definately tell them the truth. I did that with TransUnion. They told me they wanted I think it was 1 year of experience. I told them I had only done one HELOC and that I did take a signing agent course and earned my certificate and regularly study the different docs. There reply was "oh, ok we will e-mail a registration package right away". They did, and it has been just 2 weeks. No calls yet, but some companies take 2-3 weeks to get you in thier database and active. I just didn't want to tattoo a scarlet N on my forehead by posting on the boards for the many ss's to see.
