Considering the two new categories for notary fees in NJ (Real Estate Transfer for $15 and Financing of Real Estate for $25--both categories are no matter how many actual notarizations are involved in each transaction), are these the fees you are using when you calculate your self-employment tax exemption?
I have been multiplying the number of notarizations by $2.50 for the exemption for the self-employment tax but it seems to me that these new fees would change that.
I haven't gotten a definitive answer from the SOS or from NJ Dept. of Revenue (concerning the self-employment tax part of the question).
I just want to know what other NJ signing agents are doing. Please respond. TIA
