Congratulations! The first thing I suggest is applying to every signing company, title company, and lender you can find. The sooner you do this the better. It took me a few weeks to get through the list of lenders, title co.s, and signing companies listed at notary rotary, 50 state notary, national notary association, american society of notaries, and on and on....

Obviously, some of the companies are the same listed on the above mentioned sites. You will just need to go through them and keep it straight as to who you applied to or not. I wish you a great future in this business. Again, congratulations!!

Markita . . .

He is a newbie so recommending him to sign up with title co's and lenders is not very good advice right now. Now I understand that you are new to field as well, but a word of advice is . . you must crawl before you walk, and if you take on signings from title and lenders too soon before you have good solid experience, this will cost your dearly in the end.

One thing about title co.'s and lenders is . . . . if you screw up their docs once, you can be sure they won't call you again. I am sure the NNA/NSA has strongly suggested that new notaries stick with SS for thier first year and then move on to title co's/lenders. After one year, you will have the experience you need to take on signings from title co's/lenders. Don't kick yourself out the business before you start, due to taking on business that you are not ready to handle yet.

Lately I have been doing lots of resigns because newbies are not doing the job correctly. I'm talking about just countless mistakes after another with title co's/lenders. The biggest problem for the new notary will be is that once you gain your knowledge and experience they (title co's/lenders) won't care. They will not use you because of the big mistake you made a year or two prior.

So for now, sign up with as many SS as you can. At least 200 and everyday look to sign up with as many new SS as you can so that your name is out there.

Hope this helps!

I'm with Larita Knight! Sign up with signing services. Leave the title companies until you have lots of experience. They will not be forgiving.

Good luck!
