Question to Brenda

Hi Brenda I red in a previous post that you dont have a land phone line; So what do you use
for outgoing faxes?. Im trying to shut down my phone landline but I keep forgeting about my home alarm that it needs a landline and for 911 purporses.

Joseph, I personally use eFax. I can also use uReach.com for faxing. I like these both, but prefer efax. Some prefer Maxemail.com.

Yes Brenda I have a Maxemail account, but thats only for inbound faxes. But let say that the SS wants you to
faxback all notorized documents. Do you you just convert it to pdf files and send it thru your pc or how?

I have an HP 3015 which means that I can scan documents in, just like I'd do so with a fax machine.

With uReach.com you would use *.tif or *.pdf to fax out.

With eFax you his print and select "Fax 3.3" as your printer.

It publishes the document to a *.efx which is what you'd fax out with. You can also fax out of eFax with *.pdf or *.tif as well. (*.tif, a maybe.)

If are using the scanner, you scan directly into the *.efx file.
