Reverse Mortgage...

If I were you, I'd read up on it a little bit on
http://www.reversemortgage.org

...not that you'll learn about the forms, but if you understand why...the forms will make better sense.

Just go one doc at a time...oh...and "pack a lunch" because sometimes these things can run into a little time.

Older folks are either zippy, or very cautious...may have sight problems...writing problems, etc.

Re: Reverse Mortgage...

I agree with Brenda. They can take longer because you are dealing with an older signer. They are sometimes very lonely and looking for companionship. They have been well informed about the process.

Scheduling tip...

Try to get there about 45 minutes before the Wheel of Fortune comes on.

You'll be in and out QUICKLY.

One real tip:

Before you go to the signing...try to get the loan officer's number/cell number. It will save you lots of fretting and hand-wringing time if there's a tiny little thing that they don't understand on the paperwork.
