Well I refaxed my invoice to him after talking to John in his office last week. I got my check today for a 12/04 closing but the check is dated 2/15/05. That's when I was supposed to be paid. How long are checks good for before they become stale?

90-180 days, call the bank on the check and see if its still good before depositing.

When I got my check in February 2005 for a signing completed in September 2004 it was dated for November 2004. I cashed it - no problems. I'm sure they backdate the checks so it looks like you were paid in a reasonable amount of time.
