I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with accepting $50 signings, as long as it's in a location that's very close to you. If you can be out your door and home in less than an hour and a half I don't think that's too bad of a deal. If you're driving 30 miles each way for the $50 that's a totally different story.

I agree - I will take $50 signings from NFRES, they are very small packages (about 15 pages) only one document to notarize (mortgage) and the docs go to the borrowers, so when I get there they have already gone over anything and just want to sign the docs. I am in and out in about 20 minutes or less.
I will only go a certain distance for those though.

I have a similar situation to Sylvia's with anothe SS. Docs are sent to borrower ahead of time and they have already reviewed them so they just sign. These are HELOC very quick and I am usually in and out within 45 minutes. I will only take the ones that are close in proximity to my home.

I take the citibank active accts closings for $50. They are a 15 minute closing! no fax back's ..just pop it in the box on your way home. Sweet.
