Spelling

My spelling is not always perfect but I would expect someone I'm paying to get it correct.I'm speaking of the conference booklet Victoria Ring is putting out for the NNA conference.Granted it was only a $10.00 investment but I was very disappointed when I saw my Towns name was misspelled I sure did not send it with that spelling. When I brought it to her attention all she said was Its already gone to press!I'm really talking about BAD customer service.I guess they do not proof read and compare what was sent in! Thanks for letting me vent a little.

Unfortunately, that is the attitude I sense from Ms. Ring on just about every subject that is brought to her attention. She merely sloughs it off with some excuse.

BTW, you do know that the booklet you bought for $10 is available free for download from her website. (I am assuming we are talking about the same booklet.) You can see it/download it at http://www.50statenotary.com/conference/index.html.

No I was not complaining about the cost,it was the error in spelling and the attitude. You had it right Paul,I was sent a link to the booklet,it will be at the conference in paper.I was just send a form email stating there were a lot of mistakes but the spelling of my town was not their mistake so it had to be mine---NOT-- Live and learn then move on.

Aaarrrggghhh!

Misssssspelling of town names is the least of it! What ever possessed anyone to trust Victoria Ring with the production of the booklet?!r

I got as far as the second paragraph and Sandi asked me why I was shouting. (sigh)

Short excerpt...You have to admit this one makes sense...

After I read this post, Paul, I flipped over to look at the booklet. In reference to the emails she gets on "how do I market myself, etc."

"ANOTHER MARKETING TIP
For those of you who are
parents you will be able to
understand this.
Suppose you received an
email that said: “Could you tell
me everything about raising a
child from infancy through
adulthood?”
Would you be able to sufficiently
answer this question in an email?..."

but, I forgot to add...

that I am NOT arguing the other points in the thread.

Whew! Barely missed that bullet.

When it comes to marketing, VR is a wizard, and I certainly do admire her for that. It's just a shame that she thinks she is a wizard at everything she touches which diminishes the objectivity to see exactly how good she really is.
