Turning in my journal
I am going to be moving out of California next month. I know I need to turn in my journal, my question is I had a re-fi loan signing sometime back... the journal is filled out, I have the thumbprint, but didnt get the signature (Duh!) Of the 50 signing, I have never forgot a signature! Before I turn in my journal, Do I need to get that signature? I also have a copy of her drivers license? Can that work instead?

If you belong to a professional organization, such as NNA maybe you could call them and ask them what to do......or you can contact the county clerks office. Knock on wood; never had that happen before. Good luck.

Re: per CA handbook
Under section on "notary Public Records" last paragraph, it say (paraphrasing) within 30 days of commission becoming invald, you must turn in your journal and papers. It tells you where to turn it in.
Hope this helps.

Re: per CA handbook
Don't know the answer to the signature question.
I wouldn't really worry about it. They probably won't look at it.
What are they going to do, void your commission !!!
