Where are the MI signing agents?
For Michigan, are there any signing agents out there with advice on the market and how best to gain continuous and steady business from lenders and title companies alike?
What title companies in Michigan are looking for experienced signing agents right now? Things are pretty slow. I am hoping that business will pick up and very soon.

There are a lot of lurkers from Michigan; meaning the read the boards but don't post.. 130 NSA's are in Macomb county alone.
The only advise is to tell you to market. There are more NSA's than there are loans to close. In 2001-2003 this was not the case. If you are just getting into the business, you will most likely not have the instant phone calls that most of us experienced. It is possible to get calls at the end of the month when the regulars are already booked.
Don't quit you day job and don't be suprised when no one gives you names of title companies--no one is going to give away their client list, especially a local title company.

Re: flooded market in SE michigan
I have been involvd now for over a year and the consistency is up and down. I did a combined 10 closings in January and February and in march I did 21 alone; April about 18. So I'm hoping May will give me the same. I am only part-time but I would like to do it full time down the road.
I only do ""Consistent" work for two title companies. I have been getting business cards from mortgage companies and giving them mine; so hopefully some work will come out of that.
I have signed up with over 250 signing companies to date and have not had any "consistent" work from any one signing company. I am going to call on some credit unions and give them my info to come in and do their closings for their purchases.
Much success to all

Thank you in Michigan. I have been doing this for about 5 years but it has slowed down to a crawl compared to the norm. Anyway, thanks for the information. I am like you guys always looking for strategic advantage and leverage. So, if that means marketing to lenders, realtors, and others it has to be done.
Much success to you guys out here in Michigan. THanks again for responding. It is nice to see MI light up on the board now and again.
