if I got assignment, is there the notary company mailing the package to me first or to the borrower before I go to close it?

The SS/TC giving you the assignment will tell you if the docs go to borrower or to you. It will generally be on the assignment/confirmation sheet. If it is not clear, give a call. Just say you want to confirm where docs are going.

You can ask them when they call you where the docs are going. Sometimes I have them send to the borrower if it is a saturday appointment becasue they can't get them to me friday, as I have no delivery on saturday. Today I am going to another remote area. Yesterday they couldn't find a notary so they sent them to the borrower. They called me this moring to do the signing. It is always good to know where they are going, otherwise you'll find yourself sitting waiting for docs that went to the borrower.
