siggy affidavits

Are a One In The Same Name Affidavit and a Signature Affidavit AKA Statement the same thing. I'm looking at a package with both of these in it. They look to accomplish the same thing, listing names and signature. One the OITSNA they only have one spot for one signature. On the SA/AKA there's a signature line for each name variation. They both require notarization.

Same thing? Yes, No, Maybe. It really depends on how they are worded.

Most often, I have found the "One and The Same" just to show that all names are the same person, requiring just the one signature. The "Signature Affidavit" should list the same names, but require a signature sample for each name listed, and not always with a statement that all the names are the same person, but does sometimes, have that wording at the bottom of the list.

Ours is not to reason why, ours is but to make the ink dry. (Or, as my neighbor said, "ours is not to reason why, ours is but to make the borrowers cry.")

Re: siggy affidavits - nuances only

The one and the same lists names that may have been used.
The SA/AKA is often used when there are several names used throughout the documents. I.E. could have Jr. on the deed, no Jr. on other docs. Would need both variations on the SA/AKA - and both signatures.
