18 pages

Its Sat morning and I go to the e-mail to print the docs for my 10am signing. I recvd 2 attachments of the same 18 pages! I have tried to contact the signing co and the client, no luck! So I'm planning on taking the 18 pages to get signed and overnighting them. Anything else I can do?

Good for you for trying but this won't be your fault. If they send you out again because they need more docs signed, charge a re-draw fee.

Thanks, how much for a re-draw fee? Half the orginal or less?

I would say depends on how far but yes, at least half.

Did you ask the hiring entity how many e-mails you would be getting? Or if the lenders docs are on a website such as dynamicdox? If you only got 18 pages it sounds like those are just the escrow docs that commonly come separately from the lender docs. Check and see what they are. Are you doing a refi or a heloc. If your supposed to be doing a refi and you are missing docs there's no point in going to the signing. Call who hired you and if they aren't there at least leave a message. If you go to the signing knowing that you don't have a good portion of the docs then you don't deserve any compensation.

I recvd a call back from the signing co. and was told to call the borrowers and reschedule the appointment for Monday. I had already e-mailed the client and signing co. to tell them I was missing documents. I had already printed out both attachments (the same) and no link to a website. I have had quite a few signings where the docs were from a website. I think I covered everything, calls, e-mails and then this site. I was glad to hear from the signing company, I wouldn't feel comfortable not going to a signing with the docs I recvd without someone telling me that I could cancel. Thanks again for the advise.

I don't understand why you wouldn't feel comfortable cancelling (or in this case it's rescheduling) with the borrower before hearing back from the ss. You just call and let them know you didn't recieve the docs neccesary to complete the assignment. Then you explain to them that sometimes this does happen and the lender usually gets the docs to you asap after you speak to them. You say you know what could we set a tentative Monday night signing up and I will contact you to confirm as soon as I get the docs. If you do this while waiting to hear back from the ss 9 times out of 10 they will say yes let's do that. But to go to the signing without hearing from them would just result in no pay and waisted time for both you and the borrower. But hey good luck your doing real good as it is. Hey pick a user name and put your state abreviation in it, it make the boards much easier to read. And let us know what the outcome is.

Perfect example of why not to use "Anonymous"

Who is saying what to whom? It seems like someone is talking to themselves. We don't need your name, address, SSN or a copy of your stamp, just some simple 'handle' or moniker so we can identify the poster by reputation, if nothing else. Take a cue from sports. Everyone has a number. Most people can't name every player on a team by their name, but eventually, the number stands out because of their reputation.

Example: 02-TN or 01-MS or A99-CA. Who cares as long as it's unique. Everyone must be a member, thus everyone can establish a "forum alias" in their profile. Be creative.

Re: 18 pages - Anonymous is so Annoying!

Why are you afraid to reveal yourselves. Anonymous is so annoying like fingernail scratching on the blackboard.

Even with Anonymous1 and Anonymous2, (or A and B) at least we would know which is which!
