A Newbie emailed me....

I had a newbie email last night wanting to meet for coffee so she could get advice, and help starting her new business. I replied that I would love to, but I charge…. She didn’t respond. THE NERVE!!! Not to mention that she stated she was “in my area”. Uuuugggggggggg… just needed to vent!!!

Re: Responding to you

It would be easier to help you when you vent if we all knew who you are.... The newbie must know more than I.

Re: Responding to you

What do you do? Where a mask for such meetings? I mean you are anonymous, right?

I just formed a Notary Network and we had our first meeting Monday night. I have trained 4 new notaries.
They do the $40, 50, 60 closings and I do the ones for $150. They are no competition to me. I have Lawyers, Title clerks, etc. in my network and they have only helped me to get more higher paying jobs.

See below for the answer to that question, please.

>I can write a message anonymous if I like....

Well, yes, you're certainly able to vent in this forum anonymously, as long as you don't mind us not giving your vent any thought, or care about your little hurt feelings.

>GET OVER IT!!

Oh .......... did that already. Trust me.

Now the answer to your anonymous question :

NOBODY!!!

There, don't you feel better about it already? :o]

But Margaret, why...

would you have anyone in your network accept $40 signings? That only helps the lowball SS
companies stay in business.

Re: But Margaret, why...

Maybe she does it so the new ones get the experience they need before some of the better paying SS's will hire them.

SR, my point is...

NO sa should accept a signing for $40. There are plenty of $50 ss around to learn from. Accepting $40 fees only fuels the lowering of the bar for everyone; would you suggest they accept $30 next?

Re: SR, my point is...

I totally agree with Roger. Why would you want to even suggest to a newbie "You work for $40 or $50 per signing while I accept the $150. jobs." My first signing was only 6 miles from my house and I made $125.

Margaret you whatcha gonna do if

you don't get calls from your $150 companies? What if your new trainees find out about your lawyers and title clerks and they under cut you. If you already are working for $150, why would you even bother to train notaries? One day you may loose volume with your higher paying companies and have to go back to signing companies. You will regret what you did. There is no sense in adding more competition to your area regardless of whom they are working for.

Re: New Jersey Notary

I'm new to the Notary business but not new to the Real Estate Closing business. I'm based in New Jersey. Does anyone know of any Notary Networks in New Jersey? Thanks
