A borrower's request
I received an assignment from an SS. Open day/time. I called to set appointment and Mrs. B asked if I could drop docs off ahead of time so Mr. B can "read everything". Said I couldn't do that. She wanted to see certain items as: interest rate, payoffs, term etc. (Shouldn't they already have been told that?) I suggested that I fax over the HUD, note, and payoff addendum. She said great. Now I'm not so sure I should..What do you'll think?

Personally, I do not find anything wrong with it, so many things can be avoided if the HUD is viewed ahead of time. I would check with SS or TC first.

I've had that happen before
The borrower wouldn't see me till she had seen the HUD. I called the ss to get an ok first, no prob, they ok'ed it. But do call first to cover yourself.

I know in the state of MI, a bo has the legal right to see the HUD 24 hrs prior to signing. (Like THAT happens). I've had bo's ask me for the same info before I go to the closing, and I tell them. I had one ss tell me, "NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! YOU NEED TO GO TO THE CLOSING AND THE BO CAN REFUSE TO SIGN THEN". =ouch=. I told her, "If he refuses to sign with the info I give him, I certainly won't charge a trip fee if I never left my house".

When the BO's request this information from me, I explain to them that they need to talk to their loan officer. I agree that the BO's have every right before hand to be informed of the particulars of their loan, but not from us.

Re: A borrower's request-update
I called the SS and they said that they would have to ask the lender. On Monday. I have a feeling I should have called the BO before printing the docs....
