Another (aahhh) Mess up

Received a call from a SS wanting me to do a signing in a little town 4.5 miles away. We arrived at an equitable understanding of fees (over the objection of the SS) and she sent me a confirmation, which gave me everything I needed EXCEPT an address. The confirmation read "Anywhere" in the town for Monday, the 21. I called the borrower, who said "But I live in Virginia Beach". (65-75 miles away). After getting over that hump, I suggested he call the LO on Monday and tell him/her where he wanted to close. The SS also gave the name of the co-borrower. The borrower said she was deceased, when I told him she would have to be at the signing also.

Does anyone at these signing companies or lenders know what goes on?

I understand how you are feeling. It doesn't matter how many signings you have done. When you get one like this you wonder if anyone out there is paying attention. Sometimes things just happen. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Good example of someone not doing their job. Blame the LO first, TC second and the SS for not pinpointing a more accurate address from their clients.
