Anybody care to share their mileage log?
I have been trying to create a simple mileage log on Word but am getting frustrated. Does anybody out there have a good one that they're willing to share? Thanks!

Re: Sorry hit post before I was done/ did it again
At the top I put beginning and ending mileage then down the sides I put the date. you can use excel to subtract the mileage so you have a total column as well after each entry. Hope this helps.

I do mine in excel also...
Column 1: Date Column 2: Description Column 3: Beginning Mileage Column 4: Ending Mileage Column 5: Formula for #4-#3= total miles Column 6: IRS rates for mileage Column 7: Formula for #5 X #6 = total dollars
At the bottom of column 5 and column 6 is the totals for the page, which I then bring forward to the next page to keep running totals.

Oops! I don't bring the totals forward. I set up to print header line on each page. That way I can print out at the end of the year and it automatically keeps a running total. Sorry about that.

Covers your butt with the IRS if audited! And if you use the standard mileage rate on tax return, lets you keep track of deduction amount throughout the year!!!

What about setting your trip mileage upon leaving and note it when you arrive and just double it for return trip.
