Anyone else use yahoo email?

Does anyone else who uses yahoo email notice that they are getting alot of messages in their bulk folder containing attachments with virus's and they say they are being sent from companies that you know about? For instance I got one supposedly from Vital Signings that said something about registration and then it had an attachment but the attachment had a virus. Im not downloading them, Im just getting TONS of them all of the sudden, most of them claim to be notary companies and sometimes yahoo doesnt catch them and put them in the bulk folder so I just hafta watch myself and know when I didnt sign up with any companies. Its strange cuz it just started happening like crazy about a week ago even though I didn't sign up anywhere. Just wanted to know if this was happening to anyone else.

Yep! Same here! Like you say, they are from well known companies! Now if they have a .zip attachment I just delete them

I changed my email. Ive started using Hotmail now because of it. I mean Im not dumb enough to open a virus infected attachment but still its so damn annoying. I go in and theres TONS of email in my bulk folder and some in my regular folder. Then when I look in my regular inbox its some of the same stuff thats in the bulk folder. Its insane. Glad to know I'm not alone on that one. Thought maybe I did something wrong and thats how it started happening. Thanx guys.

I have yahoo mail and it started about a week ago. I have been getting 20 or 30 a day since then. Yesterday I had one that was from admin@countrywide.

I have my web site though Yahoo Business with my own email address. I too have been getting junk mail, but from myself. Don't open it, I know I didn't send it.

Given the malware, spyware and virus exposure, I opted to remain on AOL broadband. As much as folks complain about AOL, their filters are good. Regarding basic broadband, I have a separate ISP.

Not just going to yahoo.

I do use Yahoo now, but some has been comming to another email address that I have on Verizon.net that I first used before I built my site on Yahoo, so some signing service that we signed up with some time back must have caught the virus.
Be careful about your spam controls as a friend of mine kept not getting EDocs on AOL and come to find out that AOL was blocking the documents. So no matter what your service, you need to have your setting correct. Sometimes compainies that send me edocs for the first time will go to my bulk folder until I correct it.
I just use my business address for business only and nothing else. I use another one for shopping and regular email, so my spam is nearly zero with my business email at this point.
I don't seem to be getting them on my yahoo, so it was something that I signed up on with my other address in '04 that is causing the spam.
