Beth/MD or anyone who has broadband wireless

Beth, I need your info so I can put you on my account to get your 10 bucks back from Verizon. You can email me at [e-mail address].

Also for any broadband wireless users out there, do you know where I can get a car charger battery for a laptop? I have searched and searched on the internet and find nothing.

Popular Science $9.00 car laptop charger.

PopSci has an article this month mentioning running your laptop off your cigarette lighter with a $9 charger from www.vectormfg.com.

NM-CO charger battery

Look for Margaret and Becca's posts with the word "inverter" in them.

Re: NM-CO charger battery

I use a 500 (Watt? Amp? Volt? not sure) thing that plugs into my lighter. It has a switch and a fan noise. Nice white noise (not really) but it does the trick for the lap top. Printers are totally different. Read Msg #67875 - that's one of Becca's.

Non sequitor, the inverter is fine!

I have no problem with the inverter, I use one myself. It appeared tome that this thread disintegrated after the anonymous post an developed a life of its own. I just doesn't make sense. Smiley

Link to $9.00 Car Laptop DC Power inverter car charger.

You do not need a big expensive inverter to run you laptop in you car. I called Compaq on my Presario R3000. They sell one for around $90.00 but were out of stock so the tech got permission from his manager to refer me to a reseller. I already knew I could get one cheaper but called to double check the watts on one of my laptops.

Here is the link to the power inverter recommended in PopularScience recently. There are many others out on the web. It does not need to be a pure sine inverter. A modified sine wave will work just fine. Do not use a square wave.

This inverter is good for 70Watts. Some laptops take more. I have two. One takes 95watts so this inverter would not work. Search the web and find one the right size for your laptop.

It will charge your cellphone to if you do not already have a car cellphone charger.
