**Florida Statute 117.107 (11) A notary public may not notarize a signature on a document if the person whose signature is to be notarized is the spouse, son, daughter, mother, or father of the notary public.**
I've asked state on this and was instructed that if any were of immediate family (step, half, or otherwise), then I could not notarize, with the exception of weddings.
