Gotta love it!! I have stopped accepting these "closeline" assignments just for this reason. SS picks the loan off the "closeline" and then tries their best to schedule (not their fault) but 99% of the time the docs don't show up until after the scheduled time. Then we are responsible for re-scheduling the borrower.

Got a call around 10am yesterday for a 7pm signing. Said I could do it if I get the docs on time. later LO calls says need to change time to 4pm. Said I could do that as long as I got docs on time.
5:30 received docs!

So ...
... what's the problem? Just do it the next day at 4 PM. Oh yeah, don't forget to use -yesterday's- date.

I just spoke with
a Notary that shared a backdating request with me. Apparently, the SS put the request on an email to the Notary. I said "the idiot put an illegal request in writing?" We laughed and I dared her to cc the SOS with her repy back stating she would not backdate.

I received a call a couple of days ago for an $85 signing when I told them my rate their reply was that they never pay their notaries more than $85.
This was a signing with 2 hrs download and prep time not to mention it was spanish speaking and they didn't know it was spanish speaking until the first notary called the BO.
I wonder who did it for $85.
