Executive Closing Services

Any good/bad news as of lately?

They called me Wednesday and offered me an overnighted package closing 60 SIXTY miles from my house and wanted to pay me a whopping $50.00. I told the arrogant little Ms. Twentynothing that called 'no thank you". She then in an authoratative tone of voice told me she had lots of people in my area that would do it, then called back twenty minutes later offering $60. Didnt take it..... to little for to far.

Re: Executive Closing Services-Are they still in business?

I really didn't think they would still be around...I had problems with them (as did so many others) a couple of years ago..... you would think they "bit the dust" by now. I can't believe there is anyone out there that would do a closing for them with their reputation....Guess there are Newbies coming in all the time that don't know about them but soon learn the hard way.

Re: Executive Closing Services-Are they still in business?

I received two calls on both Wednesday and Friday from different schedulers. I didn't even get as far as asking the price because I was fully booked. This didn't seem to bother them -- "well, we have the documents now, so what's the problem?" It appears that it's all about THEM.

EXACTLY my feeling when they called me.

I wonder if it is illegal to request a payment before I send the docs back tomorrow? Paypal maybe? I don't usually work for many ss's but due to their "rush" I took it and I had 45 minutes to kill til my next closing, the client was right up the street so I figured it would be an easy 85.

I bet it was for the same client!!!!!

Am I wrong, or did you say you have a signing service? (Implication - you have a signing service and you still asked this question?)

This is not criticism, but it tells me that it's possible that some signing service problems are because the owners do not have a lot of signing experience or have not had a lot of hands on work experience as an NSA. Not saying yours does, but this is just a global observation and, not criticism.

In fact, you'll probably make a zillion dollars some day because you have less inhibitions about business than the average bear. As I become older and wiser, I realize this is not always a bad thing! On the other hand, I would be afraid to launch a business without understanding every little whit about it.

But, that's why I am my age and where I am while you are your age and you are a ss owner.

Now days I am always *ready* for opportunity which brings me to the next thing: You have a lot of the earmarkings of becoming successful, however, will need a senior advisor. My services are available for a slightly more than modest amount.

I'm sure it was for the same signing.

I've never signed for them, although they have called many times in the past and I've had the chance to research them before last week. It's not only their slow pay policy that doesn't appeal to me, it's their treatment of the SAs. Even if I could have fit them into my schedule, I probably would have turned the signing down.

Re: I should have added

that I don't put much stock in No No lists, but when they appear over and over on several different lists, that's usually a red flag for me.
