HP 4100TN printer help
I just got a used 4100tn. It prints swiftview docs like a champ but it is very slow printing PDFs. I installed PCL 5E and my printer setup says 25ppm. It isn't even close. I am running XP Pro. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks

Do all PDFs print slow or is it only periodic? The last slow printing one - how many pages, and what was the file size?

It has been slow since I first tried it yesterday. I just tried to print a 7 pager (281 KB) and the first 15 pages of 100 (5385 KB) and the 4100 was significantly slower than my 1012.

I have an HP4100 also. Go to HP website and download the latest PCL 5e/6 driver and the utility software. Set the print resolution to 300x300 when printing PDF image file.

Re: HP 4100TN printer help...THANKS
Hey ND
Thanks for the info. I changed to 300x300 on the printer and my computer and there was a serious increase in speed. Thanks again
