Here's one for you Charles_CA

The record has been broken...I had my first 'no sign' last night. I didn't experience the pain of failure!
Usually, I feel pressured to get them to sign and work out whatever with their LO over the next three days.
I have to say, that I was glad Mr. borrower was smart! His wife handled the process which got me to the table. They were the sweetest couple I 've met yet.
Anyway, they were headed into an interest only for ten years, then it would start increasing. Thennn their interest rate was higher than it was on the first. Thennnn, they were going to pay almost 5k in closing costs to save 160 a month, but she was thinking she would throw extra at it, making it what they had now! No cash out, no debt.
I am soooo glad he caught this. They were very apologetic and tried to pay me for my time, as I kept saying no problem, you're not the first and you won't be the last! They were from the north also and we really hit it off, in fact I think I joined her 'bunco club' lol. I walked out of there a happy camper!
Fascinating industry, isn't it? Smiley

Charm... Happy Belated 1 year Anniversary....

I had one cancel after I got there last night... seems the wife was upset because hubby did not let her know he was trying to refi... so she flat out refused to sign, he told her he was trying to payoff his boat (Dang woman just sign) his words. She called lo and told him no.. and the whole time she was smiling "I'm not signing"

It was kind of funny watching her, real petite, polite.. a wildcat is she is pissed
Finally hubby said ok "we'll do it you way.....This Time"

Thank you! and lol that had to be an embarrassing situation for him, the wife last night, in my case, was blushing and apologizing as he kept saying "it's ok honey". sweeeet

Happy anniversary Charm!! enjoy thos crablegs!

People are funny and they do strange things. People are one of the reasons I really like this business. It is really fun to collect proclivities. Anyway since I am working on this backwards I'd much rather go to your place for crablegs than Outback, I'll bring the California wine. Some of the best feasts I have ever been to were in the Gulf states. I spent some time in another life as a construction engineer on a refinery project in La Place, LA, between the fish frys and the crayfish and the hush puppies washed down with black chicory coffee, I am surprised I didn't double my weight. That area has had to have some of the best parties I have ever been to. Enjoy!
