How to get jobs

I am getting work but only 3 to 5 a week, any idea what I can do to increase the jobs? I have signed with all the signing services on this site. I live in Durham NC

Have you gone to your county recorder's office to see how many deals are being closed each week? That might give you a realistic idea of what you can/cannot expect.

Re: Re:To Brenda

Yes. The mortgage / deed of trust are recorded in the county records. You can learn a whole lot there!

Re: Re:To Brenda

Yeah, but your in the state of hospitality. Up here, they would probably look at me and say "What do you want to know that for?" Although I have called them on various occasions and they have been very helpful on particular questions if it has something to do with recording. I say if you have a certain question, especially about recording, go right to the source. You're sure to get the right answer.

Re: Re:To Brenda

Lisa, go take a look around there. All the county records are public record. The property records are where the abstractors hang out and search titles to property.

Re: Re:To Brenda

Interesting you should say that, I was thinking of trying out title searches. That is, after I do some researching, and there is supposed to be a book I heard that can get you going in that.

Re: Re:To Brenda

Try your county website and go to the recorders link. Depending on the county, you might be able to get the info you want without going down to the recorders office.

Research, research and research. There are alot of companies out there besides on this site. Do a google search. You can also go to other signing agent forums. It takes alot and I mean alot of research to find the companies and sign up with them. When you first start out in this it will be half doing the work and half finding the companies to work for and signing up with them. I'm sure others will chime in here and tell you some things. Also, there in bountiful information on this site. If you havent already done so, take a stroll thru.
Good Luck and Happy Signings!!Smiley

Please keep reading older postings. You MUST market yourself..make phone calls, send out letters, etc.,

If you are planning on pursuing this as full time employment, you must devote full time effort. Plan on spending at LEAST 40 hours a week, minus any time you directly spend on signings, fax back, dropping packages, etc. Visit this site daily and read all posts (and ALL previous posts), do the same with GMN and there are several others. As others said, do a google search and just keep on applying. In my experience you will rarely get called by that company the first month you sign up with them (think it takes them a while to get you in their data base and make sure they have all paperwork they need). Of course, every now and then, if a company gets desparate, they will search the data bases and call you. If you treat this as a profession and not a hobby and devote the time and effort necessary to make this a successful business you will suceed! Also this board is VERY helpful with answers as long as you first make an effort to research and try to obtain the answer by yourself. What does infuriate many on this board is at least the perception of a sense of entitlement from a great number of newbies. Please, do not misinterpret this to mean that I got this perception from you, but to explain why sometimes the answers given here are often snippy and curt.
