IREP and National Real Estate

Are they the same company or have desks next to each other? I was called last week by IREP (while careening down the interstate) to do a closing for last night at 5. I accepted and asked she email me a confirmation with the details (since I tend to be a linear thinker and can't drive and write at the same time)....never got it. Asked for it again Friday...nothing So there I am monday am calling them and being told they had no record of the order. I have no borrowers name or address. At some point it comes out that I am talking to National Real Estate.

At 5:30 I get a call from the lender (HFS) asking why I am not at the signing. Long story short I did the signing. I did ask the lender for their contact for IREP (she confirmd that was who she contacted) as the one that was used to call me last week was apparently now a fax line and the number I called in the morning said there was no order. I got IREP with that number and the woman I was talking to asked me if it was thru National Real Estate or IREP. She said they are " connected" . I asked once again for a confirmation from them during this call after letting them know that the loan doc's were on their way back. Still no confirmation.
Now I don't recall having problems with IREP before but am wondering why the aversion to confirmations and letting one know where to be.

IREP and Nat'l are affliated but I don't really understand how. I never have any problems with receiving confirmations. In fact, my fax machine is normally ringing right when I hang up the phone unless it's during a busy time. You could have had a new person or something.

National Real Estate Information Services (NREIS) created Integrated Real Estate Processing (IREP) to service Beneficial and Household Finance exclusively with title reports, title insurance and closing services. They are the same company...different divisions
