Immigration Services

Good morning all. I am scheduled to notarize immigration paperwork that has instructed the signer to have the docs notarized. Is there something that I need to be aware of prior to the signing. I am not sure what the docs entail at this point. The signer is a U.S. citizen who has lived in the US for over 40 years but he is also an Irish citizen (I believe). I have read my law primer but want to know if i should be aware of anything else. Sorry I dont have much info.

Linda

Just identify the signer as per usual and notarize the doc.

And I believe in CA you can use the green card for ID as long as it is to notarize immigration papers (you cannot use it for other notarizations)

Yes, he can still be an Irish citiizen. Although I am a US citizen I am still a British citizen (not by choice!) I consider myself just a US citizen.

about this law primer...

Hello Linda. I have read a lot about this law primer. What exactly is it? Is it the SOS notary handbook or something else? If it's not the handbook I would definitely like to get one. Thanks.
