Income & Expenses

I'm looking for a way to track my customers and borrowers that will keep track of each signing, expenses and income, as well as allow easy printing of invoices and let me see what is due and when, easily. I d/l some Notary tracking software, but it's kindy klugey and difficult to work with. I know some people use Excell and I have a .xls spreadsheet someone sent me, but I don't have Excell. Does anyone use MS Works spreadsheets for this? I do have that, but need some help designing the spreadsheet. Anyone?

I tried the Track program and was not happy with it. After looking around, someone mentioned QuickBooks, Simple Start 2006 edition.

Ive just gotten it and Im really happy with it. Its perfect for the SA business in tracking everything from start to finish.

QuickBooks is the way to go! Simple and easy for tracking everything. You can even send invoices via email. Woohoo! Smiley

Probably the best systems are some of the commercial bookeeping software systems on the market today. My favorite for years has been Peach Tree and you can get older versions very easily. I am currently running Quick Books and there are some excellent rebate deals available. The only reason I stopped using Peach Tree is because my dedicated 8086 machine running DOS died. Quick Books Profesional Services edition already comes set up with typical accounts and is already set up to handle typical situations in a business similar to ours. Also at the end of the year you get the tax software and it does your taxes for you.

Another vote for QuickBooks, but I wish I could find somebody to write a dedicated ralational database under Microsoft Access.

Somebody half good at programming for that program counld make something WONDERFUL, and with very little trouble completely customizable for just about any need.

HELLO .......... are you out there ........ are you listening???????

I'd pay $200 for it ...........

I use Access/Visual Basic in additional to Excel. I am not interested in selling my programming, but if you need assistance with how to link to an excel spreadsheet through a form you have created in Access, I can help you there. Programming is something I do for fun on the side, but I don't like to spend a lot of time on it, so I don't do it for a living. -Melissa

That's a very nice offer Melisa, but I was hoping I could find someonewho would disign it from scratch, to order, and that's more work that just "relating" a spreadsheet file, and way more than I would ask as just a favor.

On the other hand, if you take a consensis of what many folks here would want in a stand alone, distributable Access module, put it together and test it through a few choice folks here willing to test it for you, this IS one you COULD sell easily for some good money.

Don't sell your talent with Access short. I with I could spend the time learning it well enough to do what amounts to small projects like thiis.

I would have no problem trying to peddle it everywhere (which makes you a far nicer person, by the way!!)

I understand. I write mini programs for the Telecom co. I work for. Access is wonderful. I program in several languages, but VB is so easy. It's great for those with little computer background. Some day I may consider copywriting a program for SA's, who knows??? Have a great day!
