Joshua Basil
I'm still waiting for you to post the name of your SS that pays $150 for a 280 mile round trip signing. For everyone who missed Joshua's post, you can find it under "How much would be reasonable" thread.

Re: Thanks, Cherilyn
I'll make sure to make note that it is a paying *next to nothing company* which probably requires a million and one faxbacks.
BTW, have you had the birthday party yet?

They are a "hand holding" company....thats why the pay is so low

and ol' Josh was rather proud of his $150.00 quote. If his post did nothing else for the profession, it has sure alerted many of us to the fact that we don't want to sign up with Global, nor accept their low-ball signings.
And Josh, in case you haven't figured it out already, I second Lawrence's post - DON'T CALL ME.

I wonder if he's just a scheduler with them or a senior partner. Almost all of my signings are rural and it's normal for me to travel 70-80 miles RT per signing, and SS's act like I am robbing them for this type of travel.

I don't know. Cherilyn is the one who posted that he was with Global. I know that I've had SSs call where others have posted they won't pay over such and such and I tell them my rate and it's accepted without a quabble or even a blink of the eye -- and then other times, like you, they act as though I'm robbing them blind. Sometimes this all happens within the same SS. I don't know if I'm taking money out of the pockets of the ones who quabble and that they are only schedulers, and the ones who don't have a problem are partners, or what.

I have often wondered Carolyn, if some schedulers are working on a commission basis. Especally the companies that only want to pay you $35 - $40.
