No, really, the docs didn't arrive....
I was scheduled to do a signing this afternoon, docs to be overnighted via UPS. The signing was scheduled for 2pm. At 12:30, no docs, so I called the SS.
They gave me the UPS tracking number and asked me to follow up with UPS. UPS, of course, said the package was at my doorstep. Nope!
I checked my doorstep, the bushes, the planters, the front of my house, the mailbox and even the trash cans, but nothing.
Title calls me and asks me if I would mind looking around once more! I actually did. I went back outside, re-checked all the places I already checked, went to both my neighbors houses and the houses across the street. Still nothing.
TC: Are you sure they're not there? Me: Uh, yeah, I'm sure. TC: But UPS says they delivered them at 10am this morning. Me: I've been here all day, so has my husband and the painters who are painting my house. None of us have seen the UPS guy/girl today. TC: So, you're sure you didn't get anything?
I really don't know what else to tell them. Has anyone had this happen before? Between my husband and I, we get at least 3 or 4 deliveries a week and I've never had one not show up before. Very strange.

Did they check their receipt to make sure they put the proper addy on the package? I have had that happen and they reversed the street number. Just a thought.

They had the delivery address correct. But when I called UPS they said they won't have the ACTUAL address it was delivered to until the driver returns to the hub later today. I'm thinking it went to the wrong address.

It happens. I live down a dirt road and I swear some fo the delivery guys are afraid to come to my place. I have found packages all over the place. My neighbors have brought them by becaseu they were left at the gate to their ranch. I found a package sitting propped up against a redwood tree off my road a ways. They delivery confirmation always says that they delivered it and left the package on my deck: I don't have one! I can be very frustrating and calling the dispatch centers does no good.

I get that quite often from the same TC in Southern CA. The driver always states that he left it under my mat on the front door. I don't have a mat on my front door. Hmmm. Sometimes it showes up hours later. it just magically appears.

Anne, I had the same thing happen with UPS they are not the best when it comes to deliveries. One when to the wrong person. One other envelope was just tossed on the porch and it was already opened, so who knows where that envelope was before it reached the house ?
Like Charles I live in the country and find those envelopes in some strange places. I think you have done what you can. Bet they were delivered to the wrong address.

Re: No, really, the docs didn't arrive....FOLLOW UP
A neighbor who lives 4 doors away (I'm 22271, he's 22281) called me last night at about 7:30pm to tell me that he had a package of mine! UPS indeed.
I'm going to call the TC on Monday and let them know what happened. I swear they thought I wasn't looking hard enough for their package.

Thanks for the follow up. You see playing "blame the notary" isn't the wisest thing to do.

I sat around waiting for the delivery of a new bed recently (new house). They delivered iot to the house on the corner whose numbers are the same as mine but a different street! Gotta keep my eye on that neighbor!
