Notary Badges Continued...YES BADGES! :)
Sorry for the delayed response everyone. I was off the computer having fiber optics installed today.
The badges are like "Police Badges." I must admit I was a little shocked that a badge like that could be made. I realize that we are (atleast in Florida) commissioned by the Governor of our great state, but a badge??!
I pictured myself swooping through the Borrower's front door like Wonder Woman, yelling.... NEVER FEAR! SUPER LOAN SIGNER IS HERE!! Then I'd flash my sparkling badge and impress them!
Go to notarybadge.com.

OMG...
You've got to be kidding me. Some people take this Notary thing a little too far.

Re: OMG...
That has got to be the STUPIDEST thing I've ever seen.
The ad says the badge is 3+ inches... I could see if it were maybe like a 1/2 inch pin (like an NNA pin).... but this is crazy....
Thanks for posting the website.... i needed a good laugh!

Take the guess work out of what you do and who you work for. This emblem identifies you as a COMMISSIONED REPRESENTATIVE the state ub which you work. Ub???? What's Ub? I'm definitely buying two... make nice earrings for Halloween. OK, I'm taking my meds & going to bed now. G'night all.

Re: badges
The ad claims that this badge will help separate the notary signing agent from other notaries????? How is it, they're going to tell who's ordering this thing? The order form makes no preference to the NSA. For all they know, Donald Duck could be ordering this! And don't even get me started on the $69 bucks! Becca's right, some people just take it too far.

Re: badges - but
I was thinking...what if your wearing it and you get pulled over for speeding or something, think it would get you out of a ticket? Maybe the cop would think you're "one of them"? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
too funny... I'll make fun of the first person I see wearing one of those. And I promise to take a picture with my camera phone and post it with the black bar across their eyes for the "what to wear - what not to wear" section of NotRot...think Harry would like to start that here? LOLOL
ATTENTION - Badge-Board Contest - I'll be take a $1 from anyone who would like to pick a date on when the NNA will pick up this idea and start selling one....anyone? anyone? Winner takes all! LOLOL
Sorry couldn't help myself

Ub? Brought to you by the state with a governor named Jeb. (While there is no address etc on the website - ya right, let me whip out my credit card - I do recognize the 941 area code as one of ours)

You're Not thinking. You swoop in like the SWAT squad, with your badge wallet flopping in your breast pocket, or attached to your belt, your sleeveless jacket has SLS in big letters on the back, your seal is securely in the provided holster, next to the badge and your hand is close to the handle on the seal. You say, "Super Loan Signer here. Just sign where I point, and everything will be fine. DON'T TALK!" <g>

Rick, if we could just get you to do a short movie to demonstrate this technique I think you might have a real marketing tool on your hands. With your marketing savvy, I think you and I should partner up and sell a few more notary items.
Let's talk about official notary uniforms...official binder clips...official pens...and of course, every notary needs a notary gun (squirts permanent ink) and notary hand cuffs (non-working, attached to uniform symbolicly).
Oops - I meant every Notary SIGNING AGENT. You cannot buy our stuff unless you are a LOAN SIGNER...just like notarybadge.com requires.

I think you may want to add the NOTARY CAPE to your uniform.....A beautiful red, white and blue number with a big N on the back....I think since Rick will be swooping, he should definately have a cape...as should the rest of us...Just imagine swooping in with your "official badge AND cape"...Notary Rick to the rescue.........LOL

Sherry, that's a GREAT idea. I gonna put my order in right now. I'll get the badge, a new seal and holster, and the cape. (I reckon I can get someone to remove the big S on the cape and put an N on it.) Then, I'll have to get some medium blue tights, and white bucks. I'll also get an embroidered badge to sew on my shirt! Maybe I can start making this stuff and sell it at the NNA convention, if the NNA doesn't beat me to it!

LOL >>>> Well since we are public officers....
we should always act in an ethical way and alert law enforcement officials of any crime done, or known to be done. To me, that just goes with the job!!
BUT to wear a Signing Agent badge is just to funny!! They should have at least put "Judicial" or "Public Officer"...... then maybe it would be something to consider as a token to put on your wall.... not to carry!!
Anyways............... I am curious to know who will actually purchase that.

Brenda, you're right.! I had counted 52 first time around. :0 Now that you mention about the great state of Texas, I see that there are 2 each for the great states of Florida and ? and?....Colorado? Who knows what else is missing or doubled. So much for the "collection" idea.

I had a badge made at Staples that I wear; it is silver-colored metal with the name of my business and my name in black. I feel that it is a professional touch that might help ease any discomfort that borrowers might feel by letting a stranger in their home to handle the signing of their loan. It also reminds them of my name during the course of the signing without them having to glance at my business card.
