Printing Question

When there is a link, I am unable to click it and have it open. I will have to highlight the web address and cut and paste it to get to the site. I thought it might be pop up blocker, but no.
any ideas?

Where do you see the link? In your email? What email client are you using? Are you using Webmail? Is the link an address (URL) or an attachment with a filename?

Yesterday docs came in an email. In the dialog, it said, click on link below (in blue) I clicked, but nothing happened, it wouldn't open. 3 emails were sent, 1 in Adobe..opened fine, 2 others had 2 attachements as mentioned above, couldn't open. Thanks for your input.

I don't recommend doing this ...

Having worked both as a lender and title, having someone else 'mess' with their docs is not appreciated. I'm not saying that the conversion wouldn't be correct, but I have personally seen what happens when files are converted from one format to another, especially if there's embedded formatting and fonts in the original file.

What did the links point to? You said one was a PDF file, which should have launched your Adobe Reader. Depending on what the other 'links' were, it may be that your system doesn't know what the files are or how to pass the URL to your browser.

If you wish, you can forward the email with the links to me and I will see if I have any luck in opening them. (My email address is in my profile.)

Yes, in the email order. There were three, one was an adobe, no problem, the other you were supposed to click to take me to the doc site. There was no mention of Doc Magic, etc. Usually even if there is an area to click, there is underneath a message saying, if you cannot open this go to www..........and there they are. I since have deleted the order. This was a late evening call, called the name provided, escow closed, signing company was not able to assist.

I have noticed that I will get an email with a link. I cannot open it, If I hightlight and cut and paste, no problems ever. Such a puzzle to me. I talked to a geek friend. He said that he thought the correct link was not provided...whatch think?

If the link was for a DocMagic file, then you would need to have DocMaster installed on your system. Apparently, the link was direct to a file rather than a page so an attempt was made to open the corresponding application for that file, but no association existed. Depending on your email client, clicking on a link may not do anything if there is no corresponding file extension association established.

In the future, you may not want to delete any correspondence whatsoever until the signing has been completed, funded, and you are paid. You never know when you will need a piece of information from one of the "old" emails.

" clicking on a link may not do anything if there is no corresponding file extension association established". This is my conclusion too. I never delete docs either until the signing is funded to me. Good advise for all.
I have a number of utilities; doc master, etc, etc. on my desktop. This is what puzzled me. I'm not a techie for sure, but have some savvy.
Thank you all for your imput. Judy-ORegon

Judy, I am not 100% sure if I am understanding your question, but just in case...I wanted to add that some times you must hold the CTRL key down when you click on a link. If you are using AOL, you may also have additional issues. AOL some times has conflicts with other types of servers. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I don't have AOL, but I think the link was not complete. I have several utilites for opening docs on my computer. It was a curiousity, but ended up telling the SS that I could not open the docs and escrow was gone for the day. It was late in the day.
Thank you for your help, it is appreciated.
