Richmond Title Email

I noticed the "error" in this email, can you? I wanted to call them and scream after reading it.

We have found your information through one of the signing agent web-sites and we are always looking for excellent Certified Signing Agents. We are working toward building our database with qualified and experienced signing agents, I’ve attached our application and W9 so that we have your information on file when an opportunity arises in your area. Please send your E & O Insurance information as well. We look forward to a long and rewarding working relationship with you.

Richmond Title Services is a nationwide title company that services all 50 states. Our company focuses on providing great customer service and we look to our signing agents to provide professional, efficient and quality signings for our clients. We require that you have signing experience, have basic knowledge of documents and that you be the liason between the borrowers and their loan officer during a signing. At no time do we want you explaining documents to clients. We require our signing agents to complete the following items for each closing: Contact the client to confirm assignment, dress professionally, make the borrowers a copy of their package (you must be able to print on legal paper), obtain copies of drivers license for all involved in the signing, fax back required critical documents on specific packages, return document package as soon as possible to ensure proper funding of loans. We also ask that you give us real time tracking of signings: Call when you are on your way, call once closing is complete and email us as soon as you send the package and provide the tracking number. We believe in quality pay for quality service.

Who cares about an error? Pretty anal there. They are a great company to work with and pay TC fees!
By the way the call on your way and once closing is complete doesn't sound right to me. I don't have to do that. I just fax an invoice with the track # and am paid quickly.

I care about the error because it's a big one! That's why. Yep, I am pretty anal when it comes to a company telling me I am not there to explain docs.

Haven't done any notary work for them, but I have done several abstracting jobs for them. They are great to work with, really nice people, they always paid fast and paid what was on the invoice. This is a very fair company.

Liaison is spelled incorrectly. What "error" are you referring too?

Ah, I see what you mean about explaining docs. I was told I can define "where" to find something. As for explaining docs, I wonder if the title compnay is implying to not explain the loan and why it is the way it is???? That is a no no.

yep....exactly what?...

explaining the loan and why it is the way it is is a no-no, as expedn says. So you're agreeing with the company.

so they wrote explaining docs instead of practicing upl. I think the majority can figure that out. Like I said, they are a reputable/ethical company. Take it or leave it.

I agree with Charm. I think they were implying UPL as well. Most of us know what we can discuss and not discuss at a closing. We get paid more to know what we are doing. It's best to have a good grasp on what the docs are and what types of questions we can answer.

Other than the one misspelling of liaison, there is no error I can see.

If you feel badly about being reminded of what is right when you do your job correctly, is there another reason?

I didn't even notice the misspelling SSE. Smiley

Thanks Bonnie.
