SignaturesPlus and Sign On The X

Any body working in Nevada,California and maybe other areas should beware of these two signing companies. Fiirst of all, Sign on The X owes me a measly 35.00 for a cancellation at the signing table. The contract explicitly says that it would pay this fee for a cancellation and this happened on 8-20-2005. No one will answer or talk to me. The company has called me to do signings since then and I explained to them that they owe me and they just hang up when I refuse and I ge no response.

Now for SignaturesPlus, Melody Schecter refuses to come to the phoneto discuss an outstanding invoice. I completed a signing for them on 9-15-2005 and have left messages since 11-04-2005. They refuse to pay. Signing Agents need to ban together and put these companies out of business by refusing to accept signings. New Agents, believe it, it can happen to you. Be leary of signing services out here.

You're obviously new to this board. Click on the search button and type in SOX or signatures plus and see what you get.

SOX has a very long and negative history on all the notary boards. You'd have been wise to use the search feature and saved yourself the grief of dealing with them.

Keep on them! This is another reason why I am so ticked off at the low ball fees we are be asked to stomach! They don't tell you that they will pay you when they feel like it! I feel like adding a late fee for invoices that don't get paid on time! We print out and follow their two page instruction form, we fax back like good little soldiers, call in before and after,....the least they could do is show us the same integrity in return and pay on time! Or do they enjoy watching us dance for peanuts?

I think that is a great idea!! instead of us signing their contracts, have them sign our contracts and charge them a fee for late payments!!!! I bet they will sit up on their chairs on this one!!!

I agree withyou 100% Janel!!

Re: SOX said that they are under a "new" accountant

After I mentioned the bad reputation they have. I hope they don't call again.

Re: SOX PHONE #

This post from another board should clear-up any lingering doubts about this sneaky scam SS.
"I am being very serious. After many phone calls/runaround We finally got
Signature Plus to overnight a check for work done the middle of July. The only problem is that they owe us 195.00 and sent 45.00. I have the check that says X Marks The Spot, LCC DBA Signature Plus, LCC
220 Technology # 110
Irvine, Ca 92618
Also the Fedex envelope it came in says sender: X Marks The Spot At the above address.
I don`t think this website was set up for Notaries to argue with each but to help to protect them from slow or no pay company`s. This is the reason I noted the connection between the two and I have the proof right here in front of me.
SO NOTARY BEWARE!

Wish I had seen this before I accepted a March assignment. She said a check had been cut, but they must not have mailed it. Hard to get a response from these people.
Sign on the X paid me in normal time for another signing.
