Tip on missing docs
I was reading through some older messages here on rotnot and noticed that some SA's were told by companies that they were missing papers when they mailed the packages back. This might help in some instances, but can still be an arguable point.
When I email my invoice, I always jot down how many pages there were in the packet...yes, that means counting every page, which can be a lot. I do this especially for edocs since I charge extra for them, but after reading issues SA's have run in to, I am going to be sure to do it for all docs that I ship.
QUESTION: For those of you that were accused of "losing" docs, did you give a copy to the bo? If so, wouldn't they also know the total number of pages?

That's an excellent suggestion, those with HP products
actually get a sheet count, sometimes you have to just subtract the difference before and after but it easier than counting the individual sheets. I also use the sheet count to track the eficiency of the printer and the per sheet cost of printing.

That is a good idea, and can be done with e-docs by looking at the printer set-up window, it should give a count of the pages it is going to print. Over nites of cource will have to counted by hand. But I still don't see how this will get around a SS from saying a certain page was not in the package. How to prove you mailed it, is the question I would think.

Yeah, that is why I posted that it is still arguable. However, if you have it on the invoice that you counted ## of pages, that would maybe account for something??? If I counted 45 pages and I should have counted 76, well, we know I did something wrong..maybe my printer had a hiccup?!?!? If we say we counted 76 sheets in the packet, but they only see 45, we can argue that I can't count, or possibly they have the other half mixed in with other papers on their desk somewhere?
I really just like to put the total number of pages in so it might help me determine if I was the one who made the error when I printed the pages. I clip all papers together and make sure the bo has a copy as well -- which will also help us check our work.
Hope this makes sense?!?!
