UNITED NOTARIES (CO)

Any takes on this company? I did a signing for them on September 7, 2005 and to date have not received payment. I have e-mailed my invoice about four times and still I am not paid. I am thinking that I wasting time tracking down payment.

There's been lots and lots posted about the Deans and their deadbeat company. Matter of fact, the only thing positive that I can say about them is ...they don't pay.

Thank you Beth, I guess I can count that as a loss. Smiley

Do not give up !

Keep calling and bugging them until you get your well deserved money. I did one for them on February this year and got paid on May. Needless to say I wont accept another, and didn't when they called me last friday, desperated for a first and second. Good luck !

Re: Do not give up !

I've gotten paid for the signings for this company but they are very SLOW - usually 2 months. When I get paid for the last 2 I did for them in October, don't believe I will accept anymore from them. I always try to give a company the benefit of the doubt, but have decided to drop the slow payers.

Waiting 2 or 3 months or more is just unacceptable.

Hi Pauline,

If all you've done is email an invoice, I'd do a bit more. Possibly they haven't even gotten your invoice if their email system rejected it.

I'd call, and I'd also send an invoice "snail mail", and pay a little extra to have the post office advise you that your invoice was in fact delivered.

Don't give up so easily. They're counting on that.

Betsy

..infact to add to Betsy's suggestion to send it by Certified mail w/ return receipt that way they have sign for it acknowledging they received it. So if they claim they never received it...you will have proof they did get it.

also FAX IT TO THEM...and your fax machine should give you a confirmation that it was sent.

Also...if worse come to worse....file a complaint with the BBB about them. You can still do this if they are not members of the BBB as BBB will still work with you on this and report it publically.

I also suggest the next time you call, that you speak to the OWNER or manager and ask for the payment and tell them when you expect to see the payment and if you don't recieve it that they will be responsible for court fees when you take them to court. let's see how fast they respond!!!

Someone else had a very good suggestion earlier that very polite but hey....their business will go under when they loose all their notaries...simply because they (UN) are NOT doing their job.

Hope that made sense!

Yes, I had to do all of the suggested options to collect for the 3 signings they owed me. Address your certified letter to Keith and Allison Dean. They own the sorry company. Word of advice, never do another signing for them.

They are horrible, but, keep sucking in the newbies. Oh, you like me, you really really like me. Ya right.
