Sorry I had cap lock on. I can but can only go on interviews during my day off (no exceptions were given) and I need to try to do something now and save up even if just a little until the next job rolls in. I dont just want to accept the first thing because of dispair. I am just a lil nervous of all that has happened.

What have you done so far to learn or market yourself in this business? This will be a start to helping you get the answers you want.

I have created flyers and contacted the old companies I have signed for, but I know that some of them have been rated poorly. I did loan signings about 2 years ago and i know alot has changed since then, so I consider myself a newbie again.

Unfortunatly I am not, I havent decided to go premier unless i knew it would be worth it. is it recommended? Alot of sites promise promise but when i did sign onto a site back then the info on it was worthless. Not this one (NotRot) I havent tried them yet trying to get the feel first. But from what i see the threads alone make this site valuable.

Sorry Diane, but I have to say this...DUH! You're complex is converting to condos! Get down to the office, find out who, what where & when and get in on the ground level as the in-house closer. Working one condo conversion project could increase your SA income by double for about two months.
Many of the purchasers (50%) are buying as investment property so you may be able to stay put. I think it's funny...I see great opportunity in your situation and you see doom and gloom.
Please correct me if I am mis-reading your post. I'm pooped, it's late and I'm not looking forward to my slam packed day tomorrow starting w/ an 8am 35 miles away.
Just SHOOT me PLEASE!
I need a vacation.

Becca's idea is really good, but also, an experienced apartment bldg. manager should not have much trouble finding another job, find out who is looking for management and work with e-mail to set-up appointments.

You will still need a place to live! There are plenty of bad resident managers out there that you could replace ( I know I have replaced a few myself) and it is still possible to do this job as well.

I agree with Becca. That's the first thing I thought of too! Opportunity may be knocking!

Get the inside price
See if you can work with other residents to get the inside price on a conversion unit. If you could make $5 to $10K. It would be better than a bunch of $50.00 signings.

Good luck unless you're a tenant
Only existing tenants get the "inside" price. Hubby and I were renters who bought our unit for the inside price when the property was converted this year. We considered purchasing our neighbor's unit (they didn't want to buy), and keeping them on as renters, but even their inside price wouldn't be extended to us. We would have had to pay market. Tenants only got the inside price on their particular unit. Non-residents and residents buying 2nd units paid market.
