this is what Harry(NR) told me
hold down the control key while pressing the F5 key and that is what fixed mine. I do have AOL and it was associated with that.
Then what did was deleted my link that I had in my favorites and resaved a new one when I got to the page.
No problems anymore.
hope that helps

Re: this is too funny
I held the control key and pressed F5 all it did was highlight everything on the monitor.
Let me tell you, my husband is amazed I am able to download and print loan docs.

Re: this is too funny
that's wierd because mine didn't highlight anything, it did flicker like it was wroking on going through something and the little hourglass popped up, but it worked. I still don't get it, have no idea why it ever did it, but Ctrl&F5 worked for me and I'm just happy about that since I've had my share of computer issues. The Geek Squad might still be coming out in the future.

Re: this is too funny
The error response you indicated seems like it's a problem with your internet provider. At least it was with mine. They walked me through unplugging the modem and router and then plugging it back in again. When that didn't fix the problem, they sent a techy out, which solved it.

Which browser are you using? With Internet Explorer by Microsoft, Ctrl+F5 will refresh the current Web page, even if the time stamp for the Web version and your locally stored version are the same. Also functions the same way in Firefox.

Re: this is too funny
I am using Microsoft Internet Explorer. Sometimes I use AOL. I tried Ctrl +F5 again the whole Notary Rotary window was highlighted as in "select all".
I'll try comcast cable again tomorrow.

Re: this is too funny
Not to sound ridiculing, but you are pressing and holding the CTRL key and then pressing the "F5" key, not the "F" key and "5" key.
Maybe the AOL version changes the "shortcut". It's sounding rather weird for sure.

Re: Like I said....
too funny ( or frustrating). I am holding the Ctrl key and the F5 key not the "F" and "5" keys.
I did try it again right now and it did erase everything I had typed, this is my second try at posting this.
Earlier today I was logged on through Microsoft Explorer right now it's SBC Yahoo. I have the problem with all three of them (AOL). I usually use one at a time .

Re: this is too funny
Okay third try at this(still having problems with page displaying), each time my post gets shorter and shorter.
I am pressing the appropiate keys not the letter & number key. I'm logged on using SBC Yahoo right now, earlier it was Microsoft Explorer. I also have AOL. I usually use one or the other. the Firewalls block all of my AOL except for email and that's what I use AOL for.

Re: UGHHH! :-) n/m
Ah, I think I see where the problem lies. If there is a TEXT BLOCK (where you can type in information) and you press CTRL+F5, it will refresh the screen. Well, all the information in a text block will be lost since the page was refreshed from the webserver, which does not have any of the information you already typed in. Actually, any information that has changed on the page, such as check boxes, radio buttons, etc., will be reset when the page is reloaded from the webserver.
I hope this clears up your mystery.
