Update on my NNA membership

Well, I've been an official member since May of this year and I am very happy to report that I received my first call from their website. Of course, the SS that found me on the NNA's Notary database could not meet my fee, so in 6 1/2 months I've still not secured one job from the NNA.

***As per my agreement with the NNA I am to report to the NotRot community my experiences.

Wow..Only one call?

I started out with the NNA only and received quite a many calls from SS and TC finding my name under signingagent.com. Of course when I became a Premier member here on Not Rot, the calls have increased with Not Rot giving me the most calls. Thanks Not Rot!

Re: Ditto SLP n/m

NotRot has given me the most business as well. I'm in the North Texas area.

Re: Ditto Becca

My experience with NNA has been more like Becca's. I definitely reap the rewards of NotRot Premier!

Becca,
I have had no luck w/NNA's site either! I can't even find my own listing when I do a search for my zip code! Last Thursday I got a call from a title co. saying they found my name on Signingagent.com. ( Imagine my excitement! Someone could find me!) Then they asked me if I was available for a signing the next day for some town in NJ. I explained that I was indeed available, but I am not commissioned for NJ, I am located in PA. The woman sounded confused about the way their website works, that all of the signing agents listed close to the area in NJ were in PA. I told her I was no help with their site b/c, like I said before, I can't even find myself for my own zip code. I suggested she come to Notary Rotary and she'l l have no trouble finding a notary on here! (and it costs a lot less money to get listed on here, too!)

Laurie, are you the one in PA who services "York"?

Re: NOT ROT Premier Membership Fees

The site advertises membership from $39.00 and up, however, when trying to sign up, the site says the yearly fee is $119.00. Where can I enter my information to become a Premier member for less than $119.00?

No...that's far from me...I'm near Philly, (in Del. Co.) I guess that's why I come up for NJ! lol

Re: New Jersey calls

If that happens again, feel free to forward it to me at 609.332.4346. I am commissioned in New Jersey. If I receive any calls for PA, I will forward them to you.

Re: New Jersey calls

Do you even know Laurie or the quality of her work? If not, why would you offer to refer calls for someone who you don't even know is competent at this job? Or expect her to refer calls when she doesn't know if you're competent at this job?

I will renew. I've had plenty of calls from signingagent.com, as well as NotRot.

Becca, when I first started in this business, I contacted every one of the companies listed on the NNA website, either by email, snail mail or fax. You gotta keep on marketing yourself. Good luck!

Re: Funny, since I didn't renew my NNA membership

I would say that nearly 90% of the low pay signing calls stopped.

Carolyn, I heard that even when you don't renew, some people have reported their names still listed. Did you check yours? Just curious.
