I have everything in Excel, names, addresses, SServ., fees, mileage, if paid and when and I have a comments box that I put info for myself in. It works great. it adds all of my income and mileage up for me. I have a separate spreadsheet that I use for all of my business expenses.

I started with that, but I was looking for something that would generate a bill without more data entry. If excel does that, I don't know how.

I was using Excel spreadsheets, but I still had to write out my invoices by hand. I did an internet engine search for accounting software. I bought QucikBooks Simple Start Edition 2005, I found online for $79.95. This is a great investment you can make invoices, statements, etc. The cost is great compared to others in the hundreds. Shop around and then make a decision. Good luck.

If anyone is interested in the invoice I use (adds everything up to total at bottom), let me know. I can email it to you. I love it and it works great. And it was free! It was an invoice I found by doing a search.

You need to drop the hotmail account as it doesn't project a very professional image.

Thanks Monica! I have the same spreadsheet with the same information. Didn't think to have a separate spreadsheet for the business expenses though. I have them all stuffed in a big folder. Guess I'll start compiling that on a spreadsheet as well. Thanks for the idea! Smiley

Yes! I use Quickbooks Pro 2005. I like it very much, user friendly and the support is great if you need it....and goodness at times after a long day....sometimes simple is just so elusive!

Right now...I use Excell...I keep it with my invoices I created through Microsoft Publisher...then it is created as a batch....at the end of the month or within 45 days from the billing I check to see what is not paid and make calls and/or refax the invoices to SS. Once paid, I attach the check stub to the invoice but keep it with my Excel Report. Once is all paid I print out a new Excel report that shows all borrowers/SS/Title companies, Ref#, Statement#, Agreed fee and what was paid w/ check numbers.

I've heard there are programs like others mentioned Quickbooks that can be helpful. I've heard another program too but my mind just went blank to what it was and I heard it was very good program. (it's the 40ish thing...ya know the memory part)

I have mine in Excel spreadsheet where I programed it to do what I want from flagging past due payment to how many signing/total earning I get from each company, performance graph, etc.

Anyone interested in a sample of my speadsheet can send an email to [e-mail address].
