Any reason to send an ack only?

Hi, Just curious is there ANY situation in which I would be required to send an ack only?
I did a signing early Friday.
Docs were sent to the borrower with the a few emailed to me late Thursday.
Original call stated it was a piggyback, borrower getting docs, no e-docs.
Ended up being 2 loans(2 properties, 2 borrowers) with quitclaims, multiple faxbacks and numerous calls.
Quitclaims printed rather small. I could not get an answer at SS.
I completed signing.
Quitclaims are too small to file.
Friday I offered to go back, he stated he could not fax me new deeds only email so I asked him to email me directions on the e-docs, he said he could not, I would have to talk to someone else in the company.(computer guy)
SS wants me to send in acks only, not re-sign.
I informed him I would go back however I am not sending acks only, if you cannot file the deeds what good is an ack?
SS just called and stated if I do not send in acks I will not get paid.

Where are you?

If you provide more information, like your location, you may have a legal obligation not to comply with their wishes. Typically, most states don't allow you to do what they want. Given your state, someone may be able to arm you with the statute or excerpt from a manual that states your position as being the only thing you can do.
