Application Pickup Help

I got hired to assit prospective borrowers in filling out their loan app.
I just got back from my appointment.

So, I get home right now .. and check my email
... In an email from the company that hired me, it states ... that the applicants shouldnt date anything (Which mine did, I wouldnt want to sign anything w/o a date either?). I have not had internet access for about 7 days .. due to my dell malfunctioning ... so I had not prior way of checking my email.

My question is ...

Is it the norm. for applicants NOT to date what they sign on the app?
Is it legal?

If I had read the email prior, I do not think I would have done the app. assitance pickup (Signing w/ out date)

Company and Lender does not answer my calls .... at all ... I really dont want to redo .. because the borrowers are spanish speakers and they dont know where to write what ... and how .. it took me 1.5 hrs to do a 30min job.

I also do 1003/respa signings. My lenders have the customer date the documents. To be in compliance with RESPA (Real Estate Settlement Act) The lender must mail RESPA documents to the customer within 3 days of the application. I would guess it has something to do with being in compliance. Is it legal. That is questionable. This link will give you more information on RESPA. http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/res/respa_hm.cfm

I do the Application pick ups often thats what it is an application. My instruction are always the same which is in the email confirmation. They do not date its their rules so I follow them as I said its an application so I see not need to be concerned if its not dated. but they are very oddment about not dating!
