Bond

I am wanting to go to another company for my E&O ( I am thru NNA at this time) my E&O is almost up but the Bond with them isn't up until 2008. The new company I want to go to said I can't cancel my bond and buy a new one and I can't buy a new one on top of the one I have. So I am stuck with NNA for another 3 years???Humm, I am trying to get to my SOS but it is hard to get them at times. Anyone know the law on this??

the E&O you bought for one year and the four year bond go hand in hand? You can't just renew the E&O with another company and keep the next three years of the bond with the NNA? You have already paid for it. I might be confused but...

No I can't the bond companies say bond and e&o have to be same company. You have to buy bond before they will sell you the e&o ( the catch )
I talked to SOS and they said we don't care what or how to call the county my bond is filed with ,they would know ok I did just that . The county said we don't know call the SOS.I say I did and they said , sorry call back Monday maybe someone will be here then that would know. Hummm a lot of help today.

Interesting. I have a bond and E&O from the same company. My bond expires in 2008 and my E&O in December of this year. I guess the E&O will have to be repurchased from the same company again since it needs to be the same as the bond.

I have my bond through one company, expiring in April of 2007, and my E&O with another company, expiring in September of 2007.

So we can get them from different agencies? My bond doesn't expire for three more years but I need to get moving on my E&O which expires in December. Other than the NNA, I am not sure where to begin looking.

Maybe its a Ca thing then ,I am being told you have to have them from the same company. 2 diff. companies have told me this today. I really don't want to go thru NNA again when the cost is so much better else where.

I tried to get my e&o from notrot a couple months ago and was told the same, they can't give e&o without bond. so I went ahead and got it from nna. :-( When my bond is up I will be getting away from nna!
