Brother 7220 - All in on printer
I wanted to get feedback about the brother 7220 all-in-one printer (copy/fax/printer/scan)- Is this a good printer? Or for the signing agent business should you just have a separate printer? Thanks.

Re: Brother 7220 - All in on printer -DO NOT BUY
No. You do not want the 7220. Here is why. Two big draw backs. First, it does not have PCL6(post script language) emulation. Thus, some edoc files you might not be able to print. Youwill not find this out until you have a closing running late and they you will have a big crisis.
Second, You cannot get cheap replacement toner from Tonerkits.com I have emailed them and the toner for the 350 cartrige is not widely available yet. I am suspicious of the other place that sell it on the web. Higher toner cost will eat you alive in this business. Plus, the toner cartridge is small on the 7220 so you would have to refill often. Instead.....
Consider the MCF-8220. I have this as well as others and they love it. You can often get the MFC on sale at staples, office depot, or office max. You can get cheap replacement toner from tonerkits.com. The MCF is easy to use in terms of its buttons. It is wicked fast. It has 32mb of memory and can print, scan and fax. A great machine! MCF -8220 is on sale at OfficeMax right now for $249.
I have the Brother MFC-8220 and love it. It is wicked fast. You can compare the two models on Brothers.com website under multifunction. The 8220 has more memory and better scanning.

Re: Brother 7220 - All in on printer -DO NOT BUY
The Brother MFC-8440 is a good choice as well, a slightly better machine than the 8220. The 8440 is usually more expensive, but every now and then it goes on a super sale at officemax, staples, officedepot etc. Thus, if you can hold out for a sale, you can sometime get a bargain.
